One to One Counselling

There are many times in life when we all need support. Sometimes we can get this by talking to family or friends but what if you can’t talk to them because you don’t want to worry them?

Maybe you are the person that everyone comes to for support - but who supports you?

Perhaps the very person you need support from is the one who is causing your pain.  If you are going through a difficult time at the moment, it can be so hard to know what to do.  Who do you turn to?

I am here to support you, to listen to you and work with you to find a positive way forward.

What I can Help With

You can talk about anything which may be causing you distress or making you anxious. This may be a current situation you find yourself in or a past experience which is impacting your life now.  I will help you to explore your thoughts and feelings and help you discover a way through them so that life sits a little easier with you.

If you have any questions, or would like to arrange an initial appointment, please contact me

The initial session is a chance for us to get to know each other.  You can ask any questions, find out about how the counselling process works and gauge how you feel about working with me.  There is no pressure to commit to counselling if it doesn’t feel right for you.

How It Works

Counselling is a talking therapy which offers you a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything which may be painful, confusing or uncomfortable.

If you find the thought of talking about your feelings daunting, please be assured that there is no pressure to talk about anything until you feel ready.

Counselling can be a series of firsts and, if you are currently struggling, the first thing I would like to say is that you are not alone.  Everybody has times when they feel down, confused, stressed or frightened.

This may be the first time you have acknowledged to yourself that you need help and reached out to look for that help.  This is the start of you taking charge of your emotional well-being.

Coming to counselling may be the first time you will sit down and talk about your difficulties.  Just being listened to can help you feel supported and less alone.

If this is your first time, I am here to help.

Maybe you have already experienced counselling and are looking for a new counsellor.  I am here to help you too.
