“Ability and commitment to build and maintain a respectful and supportive supervisory relationship on the basis of such qualities as supervisor warmth, humility, acceptance, empathy and genuineness” BACP
As with my counselling work I place great importance on the relationship between the Supervisee and the Supervisor. The space I hold for you is a place where you can bring your stuck moments, your ethical concerns, your insecurities, your frustrations and your successes. It is a place to explore practicalities of running a private practice or talk through issues involved in working in different settings. You will find me supportive, gently challenging and a sounding board for bouncing off ideas.
“It is considered ethically desirable to receive at least some elements of regular supervision by the same method of communication that is used with clients” BACP
I hold a Level 6 Certificate in Clinical Supervision including Online and Telephone Counselling and offer Supervision or Counselling either face to face or online/telephone. I have membership of both BACP and NCPS and have senior membership of ACTO.
10 years-experience of working with a diverse range of issues including trauma, childhood sexual abuse, relationships, chronic illness, bereavement, emotional distress, couples, anxiety and depression.
Alongside my private practice I have experience of working for women's charities, Multiple Sclerosis Society, an adult residential setting and for the NHS as well as EAP providers.
“Supervision is fundamental to the provision of safe, ethical and competent counselling” NCPS
